As we fast approach our 5th birthday we’d like to take this opportunity to thank all those residents, shoppers, neighbours, retailers and community organisations for their contribution to the success of The Centre, Feltham. More than just a place to shop, The Centre has become ‘the local place’ to meet, eat, socialise and work together towards creating a fulfilling and vibrant Feltham community.

Rather than look back over a range of great events in our five-year history, such as the Freddie Mercury memorial concert, Feltham Idol and many other community ‘get togethers’, we’d prefer to look forward and champion some forthcoming partnerships for 2011.

First and foremost is our ongoing partnership with Laura and Ruth at Feltham Arts Association. As well as being the champions of creative community events for kids in Feltham they are an integral part of our community programme for the forthcoming year.

Feltham Arts Association & The Centre Community Partnership

From July this year...

The Centre is proud to partner the very creative and energetic team, of Ruth and Laura, at Feltham Arts, on a range of activities for kids in our community. The Arts team will be running a series of exciting Summer Activities, including Magic Shows, Face Painting, and Cheerleading displays and workshops. The team will be also running a programme of activities in October and will continue to repeat the success of the Diwali parades and Christmas events of previous years. The Library

Recreational and Educational Services

We are of course, committed to helping our Library partners provide a range of recreational and educational services to our community. So please, take some time to look at the great range of facilities, activities and events that Lorna and the Library team are hosting this year. They’ve got everything from Book Clubs, CD’s internet connections, Language Clubs and of course great ways to get kids involved in reading and learning in a fun and engaging way. Feltham Community Organisations

There is so much to do in Feltham.

And hence we’d like to champion a few organisations that can offer you everything from Zumba to History. Sign up and get involved, there’s plenty of choice and we are happy to help and host any other community groups information on our site, to help promote fun in the community. Citizen of the Year

Do you know someone who goes that extra mile for others?

Someone that always does the best they can for anyone and everyone? Every year The Centre, Feltham searches for two deserving members of the community to be crowned Citizen of the Year and Young Citizen of the Year.

Young Citizen of the Year

Aged 16 or younger – A person who despite their young age has made a difference; helping out their family or friends, neighbours or strangers.

Citizen of the Year

Aged 17 or over – Any adult who has made the community a better place. This may be through service, courage, bravery or their general attitude and care. And from August this year, we will once again start the search for those two special people. And you will be able to nominate them for their services, kindness and thoughtfulness. Watch out for more on Citizen of The Year. Its coming soon. Click here for more information.
